She has been putting hand-woven African cloth on international runways since 1988, and was the first Black woman to show at AltaRoma and the first Nigerian to take a solo show to New York Fashion Week.
Deola Ade-Ojo, who designs as Deola Sagoe, has brought contemporary African design to international attention since 1988, blending hand-woven African fabrics with traditional technique.
